Living with Bipolar Group

Create a lifestyle to prevent and manage mood swings.

An educational seminar

This 10 week series will everything you can do to help live effectively with bipolar disorder.  We will focus on non-medication techniques such as self-monitoring, lifestyle changes, light/dark manipulation, stress management, and relationship skills.  We will also cover the latest research on the causes of bipolar disorder and medication options.

We will reserve a session at the end for families to attend so they can better understand how to support their relative.

The class is based on an educational series that was developed in Europe (see The Psychoeducational Manual for Bipolar Disorder at Amazon).  Research has found that people who completed the series had lower rates of mood problems, and these benefits even continued several years after taking the course.
