Anee Kaur, PA-C

Physician Assistant

‘Mental health … is not a destination, but a process. It’s about how you drive, not where you’re going.’ (Noam Shpancer)

Anee decided to join our practice after working in the community health sector. She is originally from Cary, NC and completed her bachelor’s in Biological Sciences with a concentration in Human Biology from North Carolina State University. She then attended Wake Forest University School of Medicine – PA Studies to complete her graduate degree. Anee is also fluent in Hindi and Punjabi.

She always knew her passion was working in psychiatry because she wants to overcome the stigma surrounding mental health and encourage those struggling to seek guidance from a professional. Having a mental health diagnosis is no different than any other chronic medical condition such as diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, etc. She also understands that psychiatry does not have a one-size fits-all approach, and every individual’s treatment plan should be tailored to them in order to be effective, and thus enhance the overall well-being of the individual.  Therefore, Anee focuses on a holistic and innovative approach to treating mental health that not only relies on medication, but also on natural remedies, therapy, lifestyle approaches, genetic testing, etc.

When Anee is not in the clinic, she enjoys reading books, exploring new places, hiking, and spending time with her dog, Peeku!
