Ani Fitzgerald, PA-C

Psychiatric Physician assistant

Ani Fitzgerald completed her Bachelor’s of Arts in Biology with the honors of magna cum laude from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and got her Master’s of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Pittsburgh.

Ani’s passion for mental health is driven by having personal experience with close friends who suffered from depression and other psychiatric conditions. She wants to continue to eliminate the stigma that surrounds mental health, increase access to mental health services, and encourage those who are struggling to reach out and get help from a professional. Mental health shouldn’t be seen any differently than other chronic health conditions.  Treatment plans should be tailored to each individual as all individuals are unique and there isn’t a one-size-fits-all.

Ani focuses on an array of different treatment options which are used in combination or by themself depending on the patient. Treatment options include holistic and innovative approaches that don’t solely rely on medication as the primary treatment. Natural remedies, therapy, lifestyle approaches, and genetic testing are also options used as singular treatments or as adjuncts to medications.
In her free time, she enjoys hanging out with friends, hiking, watching/playing sports, working on puzzles, and traveling. Her goal is to visit all the national parks in the United States and then visit those abroad.
