A Preventative Approach
When working with children and teens, we focus on prevention, starting with counseling and using medication only when necessary. The young brain is rapidly developing. A healthy dose of stress management, parenting skills, nutrition, sleep, and exercise can steer it in the right direction.
Our child and adolescent team works with families, teens, and children. Among them are therapists who specialize in anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, addictions, and autism. Teens can learn stress management skills through our DBT groups for adolescents. We also have several psychiatric nurse practitioners who have extensive experience working with children.
