Courtney is a licensed clinical mental health counselor associate who works with children, adolescents, and adults. She believes in the healing power of collaborative work in counseling and enjoys listening to others’ stories, helping them process the internal and external experiences of life. She uses a variety of approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, mindfulness, and solution focused brief therapy (SFBT).
Areas that she works with include: Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar Disorder, Attention Deficit Disorders, Trauma, Substance Use Disorders, Relationship Issues, and Life Transitions.
Background:
Courtney completed her graduate education at Wake Forest University and holds a B.A. from East Carolina University. Courtney has experience working with children and adults from a wide range of cultural backgrounds including work with individuals in Spain, Ireland, and the U.K.
In her free time, Courtney enjoys spending time with friends and family, gardening, hiking, biking, listening to live music, and loving on her pet bunny, Ruthie.
