Jessica Cartwright, LISW-CP, LCSW

Jessica is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Licensed Independent Social Worker-Clinical Practice, who earned her Bachelor of Art in Psychology from North Carolina State University and her Master of Social Work from a joint multicultural clinical program between The University of North Carolina at Greensboro and North Carolina Agricultural and Technical University. Jessica has provided individual, family, and group therapy in a variety of different settings throughout her career such as school-based, hospital: inpatient and outpatient, family agency, and private practice.

Jessica is passionate about mental health and considers it a privilege and honor to be a therapist.  She enjoys working with clients from adolescent to adult facing psychological and interpersonal challenges. She integrates a variety of different therapeutic techniques dependent upon each client drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Strengths -Based Therapy, and Mindfulness. Jessica is also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). She views therapy as a collaborative process, promoting a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment. She believes that every unique individual is capable of healing and leading a healthy and meaningful life.

In her free time Jessica enjoys exercising, spending time outdoors, quality time with loved ones, listening to music, reading, traveling, dogs, and sunny days at the lake.
