Jillie Gaukstern, LCMHC, NCC
Jillie works with clients to improve their relationships, health, and overall quality of life. She has experience in specific therapies for obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), eating disorders, body dysmorphic disorder (BDD), anxiety, depression and bipolar. She helps clients draw from their own strengths while building new skills through exposure and response prevention (ERP). Jillie holds a MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Wake Forest University and is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a National Certified Counselor (NCC).
Jillie also appreciates the connection between mental and physical health and helps clients identify effective ways to build new habits there. She holds a MS in Exercise and Sport Science with a concentration in Exercise and Sport Psychology. Jillie has over 10 years of experience in behavioral research focusing on the effects of healthy lifestyle changes such as exercise, diet and weight management from Wake Forest University. She integrates this knowledge into treatment and works with clients who want to combine certain health-related behaviors to improve mood and overall quality of life.
When not working, Jillie enjoys playing soccer, dancing, running, hiking, yoga, and being outdoors.
