Joseph “Joey” Jordan, MSPA, PA-C
Psychiatric Physician Assistant
Joey Jordan is a psychiatric physician assistant/associate (PA) who was born and raised in northeast Pennsylvania. He received his Bachelor of Science in Nutrition/Dietetics with a minor in biology from Mansfield University of Pennsylvania. Shortly after, he matriculated into Mary Baldwin University’s PA program where he obtained his Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies while serving as class president. As a dedicated “lifelong learner,” Joey is currently enrolled in Rocky Mountain University’s Doctor of Medical Science program, concentrating on psychiatry to further his understanding of medication management, psychotherapy, and medical research.
During PA school, Joey’s ambitions lay in emergency medicine. However, he fell in love with psychiatric medicine during his behavioral health rotation and has made it his long-term goal to increase access to high-quality mental healthcare. While Joey treats all psychiatric disorders, he has a particular interest in the LGBTQ+ community, trauma disorders, and treatment resistant depression. Joey currently sees patients 16 and older.
Joey believes that treatment plans should be individualized and developed in a collaborative manner between the provider and the patient. In his practice, Joey incorporates lifestyle modifications, nutrition/diet, medication management, and psychotherapy into treatment planning in an evidence-based approach to help his patients feel their best.
When Joey is not working, he enjoys spending time with his partner and pets, exercising, exploring the local communities, and taking on too many house projects at once.
