Lynda Noffsinger, M.A.Ed, LCMHCS, NCC, CEDS
Therapist
Lynda works with adolescents and adults with depression, stress and anxiety, mood disorders, grief, relationship and substance abuse issues. She has additional expertise in eating disorders, a condition she has specialized in since 1999. As a therapist, she enjoys “walking with individuals through the therapy process and helping them manage their emotional and mental well-being to the best of their abilities.” She takes an eclectic approach to therapy, drawing from person-centered therapy, logotherapy, psychodynamic therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT).
A native of Winston-Salem, Lynda completed her graduate degree at Wake Forest University. Prior to working at the Mood Treatment Center, Lynda ran a private practice and served as the Clinical Director of an eating disorders program and as the Director of Counseling Services at High Point University. She also has experience providing therapy in hospitals and partial hospital programs.
Lynda is a book, theater, music, and movie lover. When she’s not working, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends and traveling.
