Madison Stonewall, PA-C

Psychiatric Physician assistant

“Perfection and power are overrated. I think it’s very wise to choose happiness and love.”
Madison was born and raised in rural Iowa. She completed her Bachelor’s of Science at the University of Iowa, majoring in Human Physiology with minors in Psychology and Spanish. She moved to Des Moines, Iowa to obtain her Master’s of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Des Moines University College of Medicine.
Madison has always been interested in psychology and promoting mental wellness, initially due to her personal experiences with friends and family who have dealt with an array of psychiatric conditions. She strongly believes that kindness, empathy, and an open mind can go a long way in learning how to best help her clients learn and grow into the best versions of themselves. Madison believes mental wellbeing is just as important as physical wellbeing, (if not moreso!) and hopes to eliminate any stigma surrounding mental illness and to normalize seeking treatment for such conditions. With Madison, an individualized approach is used that involves finding a combination of medication, therapy, patient education, and lifestyle modifications personalized to the client that will work in tandem to improve their functionality and quality of life.
When she has free time, Madison likes to read, listen to music and podcasts, paint, and spend time with her family, friends, and dog who is an adorable pug mix named Loki. She has done a lot of traveling in the past, spending time in Switzerland, Germany, France, Peru, and her favorite, Spain!
“Life is meant to be enjoyed, not endured.”
