Natural Steps for Depression and Bipolar: An Audio Guide
December 30, 2020The Mind-Gut Connection
December 30, 2020All day long, our mind receives information. The mind’s job is to sort through all this, from the stresses and surprises that come from the outside to the emotions, thoughts, and sensations that arise from inside us. Mindfulness is a way of attending to all of this without being overwhelmed by it. It is “the basic human capacity to pay attention on purpose, with intention, in the present moment, in a friendly and non-judging way.”
This four-session seminar is designed to provide participants with the basic knowledge and experience needed to establish a mindfulness practice. Participants will learn how to practice mindfulness meditation and apply mindfulness practice to everyday life. The seminar will include lectures, experiential exercises, take-home exercises, and opportunity for questions and discussion.
When: Oct 28 – Nov 18 Wednesdays, 5:30pm – 7:00pm (4 session)
Where: Hosted virtually through our Telemed platform
Cost: Covered by BCBS insurance or $40 self-pay per session
