Becky Stevens, LCMHC

Therapist

Becky works with both adolescents and adults and enjoys helping clients explore the sources of stress and develop new solutions. She aims to provide a safe environment where people are comfortable exploring their thoughts, feelings, and actions as they look for ways to change. She works from a person-centered approach and draws from cognitive behavioral (CBT) and mindfulness when working with clients. Becky’s areas of interest include depression, anxiety, bipolar, military veterans, and women’s issues

Becky completed her master’s in counseling at the University of North Carolina-Charlotte and holds a separate master’s in psychology from Boston University. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-A) and Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) in North Carolina.

Before coming to the Mood Treatment Center she worked in a variety of settings including college and career counseling, community-based practice, and psychoeducational groups.

In her free time, Becky enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She enjoys reading, listening to podcasts, and traveling.
