Brian Kreher, LCMHC, LCAS
Brian believes therapy is a courageous and collaborative process that is built upon the relationship between therapist and client. He works with a variety of challenges including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, interpersonal issues, problematic substance use and addiction, PTSD, and psychosis. Understanding that change is hard and each client is unique, Brian integrates a variety of counseling techniques including DBT, CBT, EMDR, Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, and most importantly, a touch of humor!
Brian earned his master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Appalachian State University, with a concentration and graduate certificate in Addictions Counseling. He has been trained in EMDR by EMDR Consulting, LLC. Prior to joining the Mood Treatment Center, Brian lived and worked in Asheville, NC. While there, he helped clients recover from co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders in both individual and group therapy.
In his free time, Brian enjoys listening to a variety of music, exploring all that Winston-Salem has to offer, and spending time with family and friends.
