Christy Miller, LMFT
Christy work with individuals, students, couples, families, children and adolescents to promote strengthening individual and relational health through a holistic lens. She believes that relationships are an important influence on physical and psychological health.
Areas of specialization include: PTSD, anxiety and mood disorders, child/adolescent behavior challenges, attachment difficulties, and relationship challenges. Christy has extensive experience in working with individuals and their families with complex trauma and offers Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), an evidence-based therapy for trauma-related conditions.
Christy completed her graduate training at Appalachian State University. She is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and is also approved as a therapy supervisor. She has additional training in an evidence-based form of marital therapy developed by John Gottman and is a Gottman Relationship Checkup Approved Member.
