Danielle Kim, LCMHC-A
Danielle was drawn to counseling through personal experiences with friends who struggled with mental illness. She works with all ages. Among the therapies she practices are Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) for depression and anxiety, Motivational Interviewing for addictions, and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) for those who have experienced trauma in their life. She aims to give clients a confidential space to find their voice, advocate for themselves, and build the skills to reach their goals.
Danielle graduated from Appalachian State University with a Bachelor’s in Arts for Psychology and the University of North Carolina at Pembroke with a Master’s of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She is also certified in EMDR therapy.
In her free time she enjoys watching her new son grow, travelling with her husband, taking my dogs for walks, and watching a good movie.
