H.M. Humphrey, LPC-A

H.M. works with individuals, couples, and families. She approaches counseling through a strengths-based lens, and draws from an attachment perspective in much of her work. Her areas of interest include: couples work, grief work, the process of emotion, women’s issues, spirituality, bipolar, mindfulness, and wellness.

H.M. completed her MS in Couples and Family Counseling at UNC-Greensboro. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-A) and a National Certified Counselor (NCC). She has also received additional training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), both for couples and individuals. EFT focuses on reshaping relational distress and insecure attachment into a secure attachment bond, and explores the experience of emotion to make sense of relationships and internal distress.

A North Carolina native, H.M. enjoys travel and once lived abroad in Africa. She spends her free time reading, cooking, and enjoying the outdoors with her husband.
