In addition to being a licensed counselor, John holds two masters degrees: in Rehabilitation Counseling, which focuses on helping people return to work, and in Teaching Family Education, which focuses on helping individuals and families recover from the effects of addiction, trauma, and mental illness while implementing strategies to change behaviors and enhance overall well-being. He has also pursued certification in specialized areas of counseling including trauma-focused CBT, addictions, crisis management, and parenting skills.
Outside of his work, John enjoys spending time with his wife, two children, and the family beagle. He also enjoys exercise, sports, and being outdoors.
