Kate Totten, LPC, LCAS-A
Kate works with individuals, couples, and families. She approaches counseling through a client-centered, interpersonal, and strengths-based lens. Kate draws from motivational interviewing and mindfulness in her work with clients. Areas of interest include: substance use disorders, families of individuals struggling with substance use disorders, depression, anxiety, stress, relationships, women’s issues, adjustment, wellness, and bipolar disorder. She also offers career counseling.
Kate completed her MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Wake Forest University. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC,) Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist Associate (LCAS-A,) and a National Certified Counselor (NCC).
In her free time, Kate enjoys spending time with her partner, cheering on Panthers football, hiking, rock climbing, horseback riding, drawing/painting, baking, and watching movies.
