Lisa Peaty, LCSW
A graduate from UNC-CH and the University of Georgia, Lisa is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with extensive experience working with individuals, children and families in a variety of settings. She is experienced in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused CBT, as well as both directive and non-directive methods of play therapy for children.
She has a passion for treating children and families, and is creative and adaptable in her approach to treatment, while utilizing the strengths of the family to aid in treatment. Her areas of interest are domestic violence, adoption, grief and loss, trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, and parenting. Partnering with individuals, children and families to address deep struggles in their lives is an honor, and Lisa values the deep trust that clients share with her in their desire to achieve wellness.
Outside of work, Lisa enjoys gardening, cooking, baking, reading and being outdoors and spending time with her family and friends.
