Melissa Reed, LCSW, LCAS
Melissa (Missy) provides therapy for anxiety, depression, bipolar, trauma, and addictions. She is trained in EMDR, a specialized therapy for trauma-related conditions.
Melissa completed her graduate degree in social work at UNC-Wilmington. In 2016 she received the Making a Difference in North Carolina Award for a project using film to destigmatize mental illness. Before becoming a therapist Melissa worked as an archaeologist in Greece, where she dug up ruins of ancient civilizations in the Mediterranean islands.
Outside of the office, Melissa enjoys going to the gym, reading a good novel (especially historical fiction), listening to music, and attempting to surf.
