Patricia (Patti) Eaves, LCSW
Patti works with children, young adults and families and uses therapies with specific benefits in mood and anxiety including cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), trauma-focused CBT,dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), social skills training, interpersonal therapy, play therapy and motivational interviewing. Diagnoses she works with include depression, bipolar, anxiety, ADHD, childhood disorders, autism and trauma.
When working with children, Patricia involves parents in the therapy with the understanding that parents play a very important role in their child’s daily life and a belief that they are essential to the therapeutic process. She is also experienced in educational advocacy for families.
Patricia has specialized experience in the diagnosis and therapy of autism spectrum disorders (including Asperger’s).
She received her master’s degree in Social Work at the University of Michigan and completed a two year post graduate fellowship program at University of Michigan Depression Center’s Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Department and Autism Spectrum Disorders Clinic. She has also conducted public health research and her work has been presented in lectures and publications.
When she is not working she enjoys spending time with family, cooking/baking, painting, and outdoor activities.
