Wanda Kellyman, M.Ed./M.S., BCC, NCC, LCMHC

Wanda takes a holistic approach to mental health counseling by focusing on the relationship between the mind, body, and spirit. Wanda practices integrative psychotherapy, which is an approach to treatment that involves selecting techniques from different therapeutic orientations best suited to the client’s particular problem. This allows Wanda to meet the client where they are to facilitate their unfolding process.

Wanda works with clients experiencing trauma and stress-related disorders that include Depressive Disorders, Anxiety, and PTSD. She strives to create a safe space for clients to explore new ways of relating to “the self”. She enjoys working with adolescents transitioning to adulthood, college students, adults, and families. She views every client as unique and believes in a collaborative approach between her and the client to promote engagement, empowerment, and bliss. Wanda uses various techniques that include expressive arts modalities, mindfulness, movement, and breathwork along with poetry therapy.

Wanda is currently working on her doctorate (Ph.D.) in Leadership Studies with a focus on belongingness on college campuses for students with mental health conditions at North Carolina A&T State University. She received a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from Winston Salem State University and a second Master of Education (M.Ed.) from the University of Phoenix in Special Education. She has a background in creative counseling and expressive arts and is currently under supervision to complete her licensure as a Certified Poetry Therapist.

Wanda enjoys her work as a mental health counselor and board-certified life coach. In her free time, she enjoys walking her dogs, collaging, writing poetry, making poetry, and traveling to spend time with family and friends.
