Approach to Treatment

Sessions with John are typically exploratory and narrative-focused. He is interested in hearing each person's story, helping them understand why they are who they are and do the things they do, and identifying any changes they would like to make or wounds that need healing. John typically shares practical skills and strategies for clients to try between sessions rather than traditional assignments. The first appointment is straightforward and focused on information gathering—covering history, present circumstances, and important policies like informed consent—while saving deeper exploration and processing for future sessions.

Personal Note

Outside of work, John is into gaming, enjoying both board and video gaming.
